Talbott Street T-Shirt
Behold the best disco venue in the history of Indianapolis: Talbott Street. In the 1980's, this iconic venue hosted some of the biggest names in disco/pop such as: Tina Turner, Sylvester, Grace Jones, Divine and of course Vicki St. James. They were equally known for the fundraising events they hosted in support of Indianapolis' queer initiatives and the fight against AIDS. It was short lived in the 80's, closing down after 6 glorious years, but then reopening again from 2002-2016, where it cemented itself as the spot for drag shows in Indianapolis. Talbott Street was a staple in the queer community and will always be remembered for those sweaty + groovy dance filled nights.
