Labyris Women's Club T-Shirt

Welcome to Labyris, the iconic feminist bar that gave women and the LGBTQ+ community in Indianapolis a place to gather, organize, dance, and most importantly, call their own. Functioning in the late 70's/early 80's, Labyris was built around music, activism, friendship, and self-expression. They were known for creative and political events, hosting all female bands and forming the Indianapolis chapter of the Gay People's Union, which advocated for civil rights for all. Featuring the original logo from the guest and membership cards, this design pays tribute to one of the most important spaces in Indianapolis queer history.
